Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) enabled services fulfill the information needs of the users at the right time in the right place to the right person. This is a survey based paper, attempts to discuss the rapid developments taken place in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and its application in rendering better and effective Library and Information Services to its users and to find out how far these libraries are successful to cope with the new ICT based services and the present status of special libraries of Greater Guwahati.
