Web-based Library Services at IIMs: A Study

Abstract

The study aims to highlight the existing web based services providing by IIM libraries and limited to four IIMs from four zones of the country. For the study, the selected institutions have been physically visited and a self administered questionnaire was distributed among the librarians. The performance of web-based library services at IIMs is quite satisfactory. Findings show that IIM libraries are exploiting full potential of the web and develop the web-based library services for their users. Of course, most of the web 2.0 tools like blog, wikis, instant messaging are yet to implement in the select libraries.
