Problems and Challenges of Library Automation in College Libraries of Sivasagar District, Assam

Abstract

The investigation deals with the status of library automation and problems faced by the college libraries of Sivasagar District. The study tries to describe the status of automation, its need, and application problems faced by the library professionals in the area. Lack of infrastructure, Lack of IT knowledge, inadequate manpower are the major problems to automation. It highlights the key suggestions for better implementation of library automation.
