Here discusses about the job satisfaction level of the college teachers of government and private colleges of Kamrup district in Assam. Teachers are the source of guidance in the academic life of the students. Job satisfaction among college teachers is important factor for themselves as well as for the entire college. It increases their inherent quality and classroom performance. Depending upon the job satisfaction, a teacher can get encourage to teach their students effectively and efficiently. It is an important aspect of improving the quality of higher education. Job satisfaction depends upon the salary, incentive, job security, and nature of work, college environment, and relationship with the staff etc.
