Library Consortium as a Resource towards Higher Education Learning Process

Abstract

In the Information age it has become difficult for a library to fulfill the needs of its user. The concept of library consortium emerged which is a group of two or more libraries joining together and sharing their e-resources. Library consortium plays a major role in fulfilling the needs of the users especially for the users acquiring Higher Education who need information on various ongoing researches and developments. The various Library Consortia initiatives taken by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), INFIBNET Centre and other organizations provide access to high quality e-resources to the institutes providing Higher Education
