Abstract

Reading is an intellectual habit of human being and is highly essential for faculty members to remain updated in their subjects and can perform teaching more perfectly. The present study discusses the objectives, scope and limitations of the study on reading habits of Teachers Training Institutions of Odisha .The data collected through questionnaire were analyzed through statistical techniques. The result of the analysis shows that unorganized library materials and poor infrastructure facilities of these libraries are the factors which hamper the reading habits of faculty members of these institutions. Concludes with the suggestions that both library authorities and LIS professionals need to resolve these problems.
